Met Dept issues Yellow Alert for coastal K’taka dists from June 29 to July 1

Mangaluru: The meteorological department has issued a Yellow Alert for all three coastal districts and other parts of Karnataka from June 29 to July 1.

Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have been receiving showers for the past three days.

Flooding was reported in many parts of Sullia, Puttur, Belthangady, Moodabidri, and Bantwal taluks of the Dakshina Kannada district.

In the Udupi district, moderate rainfall was reported in Kundapura, Byndoor and Karkala taluks with sea waves eroding and washing away few coconuts trees near Padubidri.
