Minister Ananthkumar Hegde allegedly receives threat call

Bengaluru: Union Minister of State Anantkumar Hegde claimed that he has received a threat call on Sunday.

Hegde alleged that the caller threatened to behead him. “I will be head you. Do you consider yourself to be a big leader? We’ll behead you and cut you into pieces.”

It has been recalled that, the caller had called the minister’s office first. Later he called the landline number at around 2am on Sunday.

Sirsi Police Station has filed a complaint. Police have registered a case under section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of the Indian Penal Code based on a complaint made by his Personal Assistant.
