M’luru Animal Activist wins the top honours at IFA conference at Hyderabad

Mangaluru: Well known animal rescuer and activist from Mangalore, Tauseef Ahmed (31) has won the highest honour at the India for Animals(IFA) national conference organised by FIAPO at Hyderabad recently. Tauseef won the award in ’Best Street Care and Rescue’ category amongst numerous nominations from the best of the best rescuers all across India.
Mr Ahmed has been actively working for animals in and around Mangaluru for the last 9 years and is als has been associated with ACT and HART NGO’s since many years.
A special recognition award was presented to Mr Ahmed for his rescues and onsite treatment of more than 7000 animals which include small and large animals, snakes, birds and others. He is also active in many campaigns for animals which include humane outreach programs, ending slaughter Cruelty and others.
Once every 2 years, IFA recognizes exemplary contributions in the field of animal protection amongst hundreds of people all over India. The award is the highest award in India for any animal activist which this time gone to a Mangalurean youth.
