M’luru blast case: Police collect info from homestay in Kodagu

Madikeri: A team of Mangaluru police reached a homestay in South Kodagu for an investigation into the Manglauru cooker blast case.
It is gathered that police interrogated the owner of the homestay situated at Nemmale village near T Shettigeri in Ponnampet, reportedly collected information about the accused in the bomb blast case staying at the facility.
For the unversed, a cooker bomb exploded on an autorickshaw in Mangaluru on November 19. The passenger on the rickshaw, identified as Mohammed Shariq (24), was blamed for the blast.
Shariq, who is from Tirthahalli in Shivamogga district, was carrying an improvised explosive device (IED) in a cooker in an autorickshaw when it exploded.
The Mangaluru autorickshaw case has been officially handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
