Nalin directed the railway officials to submit a possibility report in this connection.

Permission has been received for the construction of an under-bridge at Jeppu Mahakalipadavu and it has been decided to sanction Rs 40 crores under the Mangaluru smart city grant, informed Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) commissioner Mohammed Nazeer. Within a year of depositing this aount with the railway department the under-bridge will be constructed, informed the officials.

The problem of water being unable to flow freely beneath the railway bridge at Attavar, Mahalaxmi train should be resumed, railways should give permission for the creation f the road at Jeppu Kudupady were the demands expressed at the meeting.

GP president Ganesh Arbi spoke and said that due to the creation of a second railway track at Malavoor, close to 50 houses have lost road connection, he alleged. In response, the railway officials said that no proposal has been submitted to them in this connection. Therefore Nalin directed for the submission of a report in this connection from the GP to the district administration and then to the railway department.

Dinesh Kumpala poke and said that online taxis are functioning at a lower fare than the tourist taxis at the railway station and hence causing a problem. BC road – Addahole highway worj has not been cancelled

Speaking at a meeting under the leadership of MP Nalin on highway related works, NHAI planning director Lingegowda said the concretization work of the BC road-Addahole highway has been delayed due to technical problems. But it has not been terminated. 21 kms of the planned road comes within the limits of a sanctuary and is a wildlife corridor. As the central ministry for road transport has not yet given permission for four over-bridges and other additional proposals costing Rs 223 crore, the problem has occurred. Since there were landslides during this monsoon, additional land needs to be acquired. It will take 4 months to acquire 47 hectares of land. This work will be conducted continuously, he informed.
