M’luru port: Tourists on board cruise ship screened for coronavirus

Panambur: Tourists on the international cruise ship Costa Victoria were screened by a special unit for the novel coronavirus after the vessel docked at the New Mangaluru Port.
All the tourists were inspected right after they disembarked at the cruise terminal at the port. Chairman V V Raman said that general medical inspection is usually done when tourists arrive but this time the inspection was tightened due to coronavirus scare.
The cruise ship arrived at Mangaluru from Mumbai with 1800 foreign tourists and 786 staff. Tourists visited malls and other sightseeing places in the city after leaving the port. The ship later left for the Kochi port.
