M’luru: Teenager ends life allegedly for scoring lower than expected marks

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a teenager reportedly ended her own life after she scored less than expected marks in an examination.
The deceased has been identified as Khatija Reena (16), a resident of Tipu Sultan Nagar in Kudroli.
She was studying PUC in a private college. It is said that she had promised her mother that she would score top marks in the examination. However, she did not score the expected marks. It is learned that she was mentally disturbed by this.
A case has been registered at Mangaluru North police station.
