Moodbidri: Alva’s PU college achieves its best ever result in II-PU examination

Moodbidri: Alva’s PU College achieved exceptional results in the recently announced II-PUC results. Out of 3500 students of the college, 3493 have passed, resulting in a percentage of 99.8. In the history of state pre-university education, 682 students of Alva’s PU College have scored more than 95% marks, creating a new record, the college management said.

Dr Mohan Alva the president of Alva’s Educational Foundation expressed his happiness that a total of 45 students from the science and commerce departments have secured a place in the top ten ranks of the state.

Speaking at the press conference, he mentioned that Nutana R Gowda has scored 595 marks out of 600 in science, securing 4th position in the state, while Tarun Kumar Patil (594) has secured 4th position in commerce. Akash PS, Aniruddha P. Menon, Sumit, Sudhindra Kamath secured 5th rank, Sahana K, Sivashesha 6th, Vani K, Medha V, Jeevika S, Harish Uday, Bhumi, Shan Pinto, Ashok Sutar, and Manjunath D secured 7th rank.

He explained that Alvas is at the forefront academically and in sports, arts, and extra-curricular activities at the state and national levels.

As many as 29 students scored more than 98.33%, and 56 students scored more than 98.33%. 2882 students achieved distinction with more than 98% results. 22 in Kannada, 54 in Sanskrit, 9 in Physics, 81 in Chemistry, 232 in Mathematics, 290 in Biology, 39 in Computer Science, 53 in Accountancy, 07 in Numeracy, 4 in Electronics, 35 in Economics, 09 in Business Studies, 27 in Basic Maths, and 2 students scored a hundred marks out of 100 in Political Science.

The top 10 ranks in the state were secured by 45 students, while 682 students achieved a percentage of more than 95%.

A hundred out of 100:

It was informed that 9 students scored a hundred percent in 4 subjects, 38 students in 3 subjects, 148 students in 2 subjects, and 571 students scored a hundred percent in one subject.
