Moral policing: Interfaith couple assaulted in Chikkamagaluru

Chikkamagaluru: In an incident of ‘moral policing’, an interfaith couple was attacked by members of Hindu organizations in Chikkamagaluru.
The couple, residents of Lakshmipuram were in love and they had planned to get married at the sub-registrar’s office.
However, a few members of Hindu organizations intervened and stopped the marriage.
Uma Prashanth, Superintendent of Police, said that the boy has allegedly filed a complaint against four accusing them of assaulting the duo.
