MP Kota Srinivas Poojary is staging a dharna in front of the Gandhi statue at Vidhana Soudha, demanding that CM Siddaramaiah withdraw the allegations made against him.

Recently, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a press conference and mentioned that during the previous BJP government, when Kota Srinivas Poojaryb was the Minister, corruption had taken place in the Social Welfare Department.

In response, Kota Srinivas Poojari had given a one-week ultimatum for the CM to retract his statement. With no response from either the Chief Minister or the Deputy Chief Minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary commenced his dharna on the morning of July 29, holding a photo of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

He was joined in his protest by MLA Suresh Kumar, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, members Pratap Simha Nayak, N. Ravikumar, and Shantharam Siddi, among others.
