Mysuru: Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, the scion of the Mysuru royal family, has refused the UAE Kannada Ratna award.
In a press statement, he said, several news outlets have reported about him being awarded the UAE Karnataka Ratna Award. However, he will not accept it.
The scion thanked the organizers for considering him for the award. But, it would not be appropriate to receive the same, he said.
He also said that he is looking forward to meeting the Kannada community in UAE and would participate in the Rayotsava celebration there.
