Nadaprabhu Kempegowda statue unveiled near Hebbal flyover

Bengaluru: Minister K J George and Krishna Byre Gowda unveilied Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’s statue at a park close to the Hebbal flyover on Monday. 

The copper and bronze statue stands on a stone divider and weighs 2.75 tons and was etched by Srinivas from Devanahalli. 

The statue is 4.87 meters tall and was worked at a cost of Rs 49.58 lakh.The stone divider was built at a cost of Rs 53 lakh and is 11.50 meters long, 9.10 meters in breadth and 8.53 meters in height. The craftsmen took two years to construct the entire structure. It was inaugrated by the ministers in a rush for the upcoming polls. 

The area where the statue is loacted will be developed into a park spread across 1.5 acres of land. BDA is likewise working on Hebbal flyover’s expansion, said BDA build part B L Ravindra Babu.
