Namma Metro train to function with six coaches

Bengaluru: Bengaluru’s Namma Metro train will begin working with 6-coaches for the first time from June 22. Railroad Board has given a green flag to the test report put together by the commission of Railway Safety (CRS), the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will get a duplicate on Monday.
BMRCL Managing Director Mahendra Jain said that K A Manoharan of CRS will complete the final valuation of the six-coach train before Wednesday and all arrangements are being made for the inauguration function on June 22.
It might be reviewed that Bharath Earth Movers Limited (BEML) had given more than 3 new coach to BMRCL on February 14. The trial of the six-coach train in Nayandahalli-Baiyappanahalli route was started on April 19. The six-coach train has experienced various tests in two months.
BEML has the tender of giving 150 metro coaches to BMRCL in stages worth Rs.1,400 crores. From July, BEML would give 6-9 coaches each month to the BMRCL according to the agreement and each of the mentors will be provided by December 2019. Namma Metro will be changed over from 3-coach train to 6-coach trains.
