  • Kota Bandh on Dec 7th

Kota: This is the last opportunity being given to Navayuga Company and if they fail to complete the work within the given time frame, the company will be black listed, warned MP Shobha Karandlaje.

Speaking with reporters at Kota tha MP said that already enough opportunities have been given to the company. The work should be completed as soon as possible, she demanded.

The locals are demanding that a discount be provided for vehicles within 10-20 kms vicinity of the toll gate. But legally, there is very less opportunity for that. Therefore, the officials feel that they can pass only after paying the toll, she said.

Holding talks is the only way to get discount in toll fee. Therefore I’ll try to submit the demands of the people here to the central government. As the minister Revanna failed to respond properly to the protestor’s delegation, for the future fight, will join with the highway awareness committee, she said.

Dec 7th Kota Bandh

The protest against the toll collection by the localities is going to get intensified in the coming days and a bandh will be observed on Dec 7th from Mabukala to Kota. Protests will be organized during the bandh, announced highway awareness committee president, Pratap Shetty.

All MLA’s and representatives of the people have been invited. A meeting has been at Sasthan on Monday for planning the protest format and taking the final decision, he added.
