Mangaluru: Money needs to be set aside to wavier farm loans worth Rs 40,000 crore. The previous government has only give Rs 15,000 crore. Since there has been floods this time. Money need to be set accordingly. Therefore, the money in the present budget is not enough to start any new schemes, claimed deputy chief minister Ashwath Narayan, responding to the questions from the press in Mangaluru on Friday.

The DCM’s statements hence come in support to the statement made by minister CC Patil stating that the government does not have money.

Speaking about the IT raid concerning the investigation of medical seat blocking, the minister denied that there was any medical seat blocking occurring in the state. “It has conducted raid regarding illegal property. If metric seats are not filled then there is opportunity to fill them. According to the government rules, the seats can be filled, “he said.
