One killed, another seriously injured in motorcycle-truck collision in Beltangady

Beltangady: A youth was killed and another person was injured after the vehicle they were traveling in was hit by a truck near the church on Dharmasthala-Mundruppadi road on Wednesday, March 29 evening.

The deceased is identified as Prasad Shetty (27), a resident of Padyar Majalu of Kuvettu village and the injured is Vishwanath Rao (42), a resident of Laila village.

Prasad was a chain surveyor and the accident took place when he was returning back from his duty.

Following the accident the duo were rushed to the hospital by locals, Prasad died when he being taken to Mangaluru for further treatment.

Traffic police of Beltangady visited the spot and registered a case.
