Bengaluru: Janata Dal-Secular will work together towards their goal to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of the country, said Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.
Despite Rahul’s statement that Mamata Banerjee is an able candidate, JDS party wants to support Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate. This is their commitment and it remains so said Kumaraswamy.
Further clarifying his statement he said that among regional parties there are several capable leaders other than the BJP, but he has confidence in Rahul Gandhi that he can take on PM Modi and therefore wants Rahul to the PM.

The Congress had recently said that it will not project its chief Rahul Gandhi for the top post and will respect the wishes of its coalition partners if the BJP is defeated in the national election.
