Pakistan violates ceasefire in Uri sector

Srinagar: Pakistani troops today violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kamalkote area of Uri sector in Baramulla district for the second consecutive day, an Army official said.
No casualties have been reported in today’s firing so far, the official said.
There was unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the LoC in Kamalkote area and they fired indiscriminately for the second day running, he said.
The Indian Army personnel were giving a “strong and befitting” response to the ceasefire violation, he said, adding that further details were being ascertained. In yesterday’s firing, an army porter was killed while two women were injured.
