Panambur: CISF personnel shoots self dead at NMPT

Suratkal: A CISF security personnel allegedly shot himself dead at Panambur NMPT in the wee hours of Sunday, August 22.

The deceased has been identified as CISF PSI Zakir Hussain (58), a resident of Raichur.

Zakir Hussain was posted on a night shift at the NMPT main gate. After completing his shift, he went to the washroom next to the main gate here around 6.30 a.m. and shot himself.

A case has been registered at Panambur police station and an investigation is underway.

The exact reason for the suicide is not yet known. His body has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
