Police Arrest 6 Companions of Elusive Fugitive Rashid Malbari in Belagavi

Belagavi: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested six companions of absconding notorious criminal Rashid Malbari in connection with their involvement in various criminal activities in the city of Belagavi. The gang was reportedly functioning according to the orders from Rashid, said Belagavi City Police Commissioner TG Krishna Bhat on Monday speaking to the press reporters.
The six arrested for supporting Malbari’s activities here, are identified as zilla panchayat president, Nazeer Nadaf, Navid Qazi, Sarfaraz Jamadar, Muzaffar Sheikh, Imtiaz Abdul Aziz, and Jitin Kadam. Also, the police seized a car from the accused. Commissioner said that three police teams have been formed to trace and arrest Malbari and investigation is continuing in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Rashid was reportedly getting grounds in Belagavi after police investigations proved his role in various cases including murder, abduction and others even if he is out of station.
