Mangaluru: Police have arrested Hindu Maha Sabha Karnataka state secretary Dharmendra for allegedly threatening chief minister Basavaraj Bommai over the demolition of a temple in Mysuru’s Nanjangud.
Speaking at a press conference in Mangaluru on Saturday, Dharmendra said that the ruling BJP has backstabbed the Hindus by allowing demolition of an ancient temple in Mysuru and is trying to cover up their deed by using Sangh Parivar to fight against the act.
In a subtle threat to the chief minister Dharmendra stated, “We didn’t spare Gandhi ji, what do you amount to then? If Gandhi ji could be assassinated to condemn atrocities on Hindus, do you think we won’t consider the same for you?”
In the light of these provocative statements, police arrested Dharmendra.
