Baikampady: SSLC exams commence from March 21st and students are already deep in preparation for the exams. But on Tuesday, there was a power cut for the whole day and it became very strenuous for the students to study in the sweltering heat.
On Tuesday, power supply was cut in and around Baikampady area to undertake repair works. Hence, the schools conducting special classes for the students gave revision lessons by making them sit outside the classrooms to beat the heat.
Request to stop power cuts
Any repair work must be postpones to April 5th. There should be no power cuts until then. This is the question on the future of the students. Due to the exams, the repair work of Agume Ghat highway was postponed. Can’t MESCOM follow the same, asked the school administrative councils in their complaint to the Deputy Commissioner in connection to the issue. The administration council of Bertrand Russell school requested the officials of Mescom to not to do power cuts to which the officials gave a careless reply, informed the councils expressing their anger.
