Punjalkatte pickup-mini lorry collision: Pickup driver succumbs to injuries

Mangaluru: One among the three persons severely injured in the goods pickup-mini lorry collission at Punjalkatte succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as the driver of the pickup vehicle Sahil (21), son of Ibrahim of Pandavarakallu Kudru. He had received critical chest and head injuries and died at a hospital in Mangaluru on Monday night.

The accident occurred on October 17 in front of Sri Rama Nagar Pragati Hardware at Punjalkatte. Besides Sahil, two others — Avinash and the driver of the mini lorry Dheeraj– were also severely injured and are hospitalized.

Sahil was a student at Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar, and worked part-time as a driver.
