Punjalkatte: Young woman dies of heart attack

Punjalakatte: A young woman breathed her last after suffering a cardiac arrest in her sleep on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mithra Shetty (19), daughter of Madhwaguttu Rajeev Shetty and Meena couple of Kavalapadur village.

Mithra lived with her mother at her aunt’s house in Madhwa. She had gone to bed after dinner on Tuesday night. The following morning, her mother found her unresponsive in her bed. She was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy conducted at Bantwal Government Hospital mentioned the cause to be a cardiac arrest. The body was later shifted to a hospital in Deralakatte for further examination.

Mithra is survived by her father, mother, and brother.

Mithra was a graduate and was active in local associations and organizations. Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik U expressed his condolences on her untimely demise.
