Pushpa Amarnath takes charge as KPCC women wing president

Bengaluru: Pushpa Amarnath took charge as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) women’s wing president on Monday, November 19 at KPCC office.
Former President Lakshmi Hebbalkar officially handed over the Congress flag and the responsibility to Pusha.
Addressing presspersons after taking charge as KPCC women wing president Puspa said, “It’s my privilege to take up the responsibility of the Congress party on the occasion of 101st birthday of Indira Gandhi”
Pushpa Amarnath succeeded Lakshmi Hebbalkar, controversial MLA from Belagavi Rural constituency, who is also said to be a close associate of major irrigation minister DK Shivakumar.
As per the sources, AICC president Rahul Gandhi after conducting one to one interview with two candidates had selected Pushpa Amaranath, from Mysuru as the new head of the women’s wing.
