Puttur: 18-yo meets watery grave while spreading lotus seeds in pond

Puttur: In a tragic incident a college girl fell into a pond while she was spreading lotus seeds.

The deceased is Shreya (18), a second PU student of Ramakunjeshwara PU College and daughter of Mohan and Vinoda couple from Ambarje

The incident took at Ambarje in Konalu village near Uppinangady.

Reportedly, Shreya had spread some lotus seeds in a pond near her house and then proceeded to throw lotus seeds into a pond located next to the residence of her uncle. However, she fell into the pond and breathed her last.

Family members started searching for Shreya and found that her footwear was floating in the pond. They brought her out of the pond and took her to a hospital, but she was declared brought dead.
