Puttur: Class 6 boy killed, 3 others injured in auto-lorry collision

Puttur: One person was killed and two others of his family sustained serious injuries in a lorry-rickshaw collision at Matha on national highway 75 near Uppinangady here.
The incident took place on Monday, November 29 when a lorry rammed into an auto-rickshaw here. The impact of the collision caused the rickshaw to topple killing one of the occupants while others sustained serious injuries.
The deceased has been identified as T Mohammad Altaf (12), a sixth-standard student of Hirtadka government primary school. His family members — mother Khadeejamma (46), elder brother, Ashiq alias T Mohammed Asrar (23) — and auto-rickshaw driver, Siddique (34) were hospitalised to a hospital in Mangaluru.
Puttur police visited the spot. A case was registered in Uppinangady police station.
