Puttur: A man has lodged a complaint with the city police against the doctors of a hospital in Puttur alleging that expired injections were administered to his one-and-a-half-month-old daughter.
The complainant, Jeevan Prakash D’Souza a resident of Kanyana, said that he had brought his daughter to the hospital on October 24 and doctors there administered an injection. The date on the vial of the injection showed that the medicine had expired, he alleged.
The complainant urged action against doctors for negligently administering medicine past its expiry date.
Based on the complaint, it is learnt that the police called the doctor in question to the police station for an inquiry.
