Puttur: Gaur, calf killed after being run over by train

Puttur: A male gaur and a calf died after suspectedly being knocked down by a train near Gadipila in Narimogaru village on Thursday, March 17 morning.
The unfortunate incident may have occurred when the gaur had ventured into the nearby agricultural farms in search of fodder.
Assistant conservator of forests, Puttur sub division VP Kariappa, Puttur range forest officer Kiran, and other officials visited the spot and completed the formalities. Post-mortem of the deceased animals was conducted on the spot.
