
Puttur: Senior journalist B T Ranjan no more

Puttur: The founder president of Puttur Journalists’ Association and senior journalist, B T Ranjan Shenoy passed away on February 5. He was 60.
Sources said that Ranjan exhibited symptoms of cold and cough For the past few days. His health deteriorated on Thursday evening and was rushed to a private hospital in Puttur. On Friday he was referred to KMC Hospital in Mangaluru where he breathed his last without responding to treatment.
Ranjan had been a prolific journalist for more than three decades. He had worked for prestigious newspapers including Mungaru, Udayavani, and Hosadiganta. He had bagged the District Republic Day Award for his achievements.
Ranjan is survived by his wife and daughter.
