Rain at various locations; damage

Udupi/Mangaluru: Good rain accompanied by lightning and thunder was witnessed at various locations in Karavali. Strong winds at some places has inflicted damage.
Rain, accompanied by wind and lightning was recorded from Udupi and Manipal. Good rain was experienced in Subrahmanya, Sullia while moderate rain was witnessed at Belthangady, Kanyadi, Guripalla, Savanalu, Punjalakatte, Puttur, Uppinangady and Venur.
Kaup: Damage due to wind
Kaup: Strong winds have caused damage in the taluk. Inundation along NH 66 caused problem. The sheets used by shops have been blown away by string winds at Kaup, Mulur, Ucchila, Karpady, Shirva and Mudubelle. A few two-wheler have toppled.
With tree falling on electricity pole and power cables at Mudubelle Kumpadakari and near Geeta Mandir near Moodubelle respectively, cut short the power supply here. The cement sheet covering the roof of Lion’s Club building in Moodbelle suffered damage.
Hebri. Perdur: Damage
Rain at Hebri was accompanied with strong winds, lighting and thunder. Mudradi GP market suffered damage after an uprooted tree collapsed on it. Uprooted trees lay across the road causing problem at Hebri, Mudaradi, Padigara, Someshwara, Perdur and dHiriyadka. A coconut tree fell at Ankudru near Katapady inflicting damage.
Strong winds at Brahmavar and Baikady areas caused much inconvenience to two-wheeler riders. The roof of a house at Ellare Hoigejeddu near Ajekaru was blown away. The roof of a hotel has suffered damage. A coconut tree fell on another house.
