Rain intensity drops along karavali

Mangaluru/Udupi: Norma rain was witnessed along karavali on Friday as well.
Rain intensity in Dakshina Kannada district has reduced since a week. There was drizzling in Mangaluru city on Friday morning. Rain amount decreased throughout Udupi district with Kollur, Koteshwara and Tekkatte areas receiving normal rains.
‘Ashlesha Nakshatra’ will start from Saturday. This is expected to bring in post-monsoon showers. The Weather Department has forecasted that the rain intensity will resume from Monday onwards.
Earthquake in Indonesia; no danger to India
Mangaluru: The Sumatra island in Indonesia suffered an earthquake of the magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale and a tsunami warning has announced there. But there is no risk being faced by India due to the natural calamity, informed Shrinivas Reddy, director of the Indian Meteorological Department.
