Rajasthan CM Gehlot pays obeisance at Gurdwara Buddha Johad

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot paid obeisance at the historic Gurdwara Buddha Johad in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district on Saturday. Gehlot also attended a programme at the Bishnoi temple on the occasion of Jambhani Harikatha.
On the second day of his two-day visit to Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts, Gehlot paid obeisance at the gurdwara and prayed for the welfare of the state’s people, according to a statement. Former Punjab deputy chief minister and the Congress’ Rajasthan In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was present on the occasion. Gehlot said the state government looked at the centuries-old tradition of ‘langar’ (community kitchen) at ‘Guru Ghar’ to set up the Indira Rasoi through which it provides food to needy for Rs 8. He also urged the people of Rajasthan to follow the ideals of Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh.
At the Bishnoi temple, Gehlot took part in a programme commemorating Jambhani Harikatha and called upon the people to follow the teachings of Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj. Gehlot also met people and sought their opinion on the schemes run by the government.
