Ramayana 3D: Will Mahesh Babu play Lord Ram?

South Indian actor Mahesh Babu has reportedly been offered the role of Lord Ram in the movie- Ramayana 3D, an adaptation of the epic. Grapevine also suggests that Deepika will be seen as Sita in the movie

The movie is backed by Madhu Mantena and is expected to feature Hrithik Roshan, who will play the antagonist Ravan.

It is gathered that the makers of the movie had initially approached Prabhas for the role. However, after Prabhas signed Om Raut’s Adipurush, in which he will play a similar role Madhu is said to have approached Mahesh Babu. The Tollywood actor has apparently has liked the script but is yet to give his nod to the project.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu was last seen in Sarileru Neekevvaru, while Hrithik was last seen in War.
