Rapido, a prominent ride-hailing app for two-wheeler and auto-rickshaw services, announced its strategic foray into the cab industry.

Branded as Rapido Cabs, this expansion marks a significant step in company’s goal to transform urban mobility in India.  With an initial fleet of 100,000 vehicles, Rapido aims to offer affordable intra-city transportation, fostering entrepreneurship among drivers while ensuring cost-effective commuting options for customers, the company said in a press release.

Accessible to all cab captains operating across the country, these services are designed to promote entrepreneurship, fostering a sustainable livelihood for drivers, it said.

Beyond empowering drivers, the focus extends to customer affordability, offering cabs at the lowest price to make transportation more accessible for all, the company added.
