
Rat sets off fire alarm on Karwar-B’luru train; passengers panic

Byndoor: A panic situation ensued on the Karwar-Bengaluru train after passengers woke up to the sound of fire alarm at around midnight.
The fire alarm reportedly started in the B1 coach of the train when it neared Hassan Junction. The incident took place at around 1 am when most of the passengers were asleep.
Following the alarm sound, all the passengers in the coach rushed towards the door for safety. During the checking, the railway technical staff found that a rat had crept inside the electrical box and had caused the fire alarm to go off.
Later the train was halted for repairs at Hassan before resuming the journey.
