RBI Prints Image of World Famous Hampi Rock Chariot on New Currency Note

New Delhi/Hampi: In an honour to world heritage site Hampi located in Karnataka state, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has printed an image of world famous Hampi rock chariot on the new currency notes in the denomination of Rs 50. The new currency notes are all set for their release into the market.

An image of rock chariot located at Hampi, capital of then Vijayanagara Empire is printed on the back portion of the currency note which is yet to be introduced to the market.  The currency notes will have new security features with a size of 66mm*135mm. The denomination of the currency note ‘Rs 50’ is written in both Devanagari and English scripts on the new currency note.
