Mangaluru: The dates for repair work on the main water pipeline have been rescheduled. MCC said the water supply to parts of the city will be stopped from June 4 to June 6.
Earlier, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) had told residents that certain areas within the city will experience water supply disruptions from June 2 to June 4.
The disruption is attributed to essential maintenance work being undertaken on the Thumbe-Bendoorwell-Panambur 1000mm pipeline near Adyar Katte, as well as the re-installation of a 900mm diameter pipe near Kottara Chowki by the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC).
During the specified period, water supply will be completely halted in several low-level areas of the city, including PVS, Ladyhill, Port, Bijai, Suterpet, Maryhill, Pachanadi, Ashoknagar, Derebail, Kodialbail, Kadri, Naguri, Surathkal, Katipalla, Kuloor, Jalligudde, Kodikal, Kana, Bala, Kulai, Mukka, Panamboor, among others.
