Reservation Quota: Panchamasali (Lingayat) community members hold rally

Karnataka: The Panchamasalis, the largest sub-sect within the Lingayat community held a rally in Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds for inclusion in 2A reservation category.

Presently the community is included in the 3B reservation category. The inclusion in 2A category will entitle them 15 per cent reservations in government jobs and education.

J Mruthyunjaya Swami has warned of a satyagraha if Yediyurappa-govt does not respond to their demands today.
