Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara 2’ set to begin shooting in December

Bengaluru: There’s been a significant update on the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’, directed and acted by Rishab Shetty.
Currently in the throes of pre-production, ‘Kantara 2’ is poised to surpass its predecessor in both scale and ambition. The shooting is scheduled to commence in December, with Rishab Shetty intensively preparing for his role. The film promises to deliver an increased quotient of action, adding to the excitement for fans of the franchise.
The original film garnered immense success, not only in Karnataka but also on a national and international scale, prompting high expectations for its follow-up.
According to an India Today report, Chaluvegowda of Hombale Films, the production is planned in three phases, with the filming set to conclude by August 2024. Rishab Shetty’s dedication to the project is evident, as he has undergone rigorous physical training to ensure an authentic portrayal. The script was completed in the first half of 2023.
The ensemble cast includes Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty.
