Rs 30 crore for vented dams in Belthangady: Madhuswamy

Belthangady: Rs 30 crore will be released from the Minor Irrigation department for the re-construction of the vented dams destroyed due to floods in Belthangady taluk, said State Minister for Law and Minor Irrigation J C Madhuswamy speaking to reporters while visiting the flood affected areas in the taluk on Saturday.
Stating that there was a demand for construction retention walls to rivers in areas ravaged by floods, the Minister said the issue would be discussed with experts.
