Mangaluru: In the midst of the huge outcry over state government’s decision to withdraw compensation to families of police firing victims’, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat opined that the two people who were killed in the police firing on December 19 were anti-social elements and compensation should not be given to their families.

Further the RSS leader lauded the Mangaluru police for thwarting attempt of anti-social elements to turn the coastal district of Karnataka into Kashmir and the manner in which they handled the violent protests.

“Anti-social elements started the violence with intention of disturb social harmony in the region. Those killed in police firing were not innocent and hence compensation should not be given to their families. If compensation is given to these victims, in future, all the terrorists, who get killed by police and soldiers will seek compensation.”
