Samsung has added a hand-washing app to its Galaxy smartwatches that can send you reminders to wash your hands. The new tool was developed for smartwatches by Samsung’s team in Bengaluru.
The app is designed to help users wash their hands for at least 25 seconds in accordance with recommendations from the World Health Organization.
Also, each time the user initiates the wash sequence, the ‘Hand Wash’ app tracks the time and provides users with haptic feedback after 25 seconds of wash cycle. Five seconds are for turning on the tap and applying soap, while 20 seconds are for actual hand wash.
Galaxy Watch users can download the ‘Hand Wash’ app from the Galaxy Store.
