Udupi: No restrictions have been imposed on the state police in the Santro Ravi case and it has borne fruit. Santro Ravi was arrested in Gujarat on Friday by the state police after persistent efforts, said Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
Speaking to reporters here the home minister said Santro Ravi will be brought to Karnataka in a couple of days. More arrests are likely in the case, he added.
“Santro Ravi was arrested after 11 days. Teams were formed by the Mysore and Ramnagar police to conduct the operation. He will be brought to Bengaluru after completing the due process. In this matter, the government has been impartial,” he said.
“We gave complete freedom to the police. The investigation is going on transparently in all dimensions,” he said and added that anyone – be it any minister, politician, or officer – in the wrong will be brought to justice.
Kimmane Ratnakar’s allegations unfounded
Kimmane Ratnakar has questioned the ED raid. For many years, the Congress office was in the building owned by the family of Mohammed Shariq, the terror suspect in the Mangaluru cooker blast case. “This operation was done on the basis of Shariq’s statement. They are accusing me unnecessarily,” he said.
