SC judge Abdul Nazeer inaugurates POCSO court at Udupi

Udupi: Supreme Court judge Justice Abdul Nazeer inaugurated the special POCSO court here on Saturday, March 14.

Speaking at the event Justice Nazeer said that it is good as well as bad that such a court is being opened as any crime against children is ghastly and increase in such cases shows unhealthy growth of society.

The Justice also spoke in Kannada and Tulu which received loud applause from the audience.

Apart from the court inauguration the Justice also inaugurated a state-level men’s volleyball tournament and women’s throwball tournament in the district court complex.

District chief sessions judge C M Joshi, high court judge Ashok G Nijagannavar, district POCSO court judge Vanamala Anandrao, Bar Association president Diwakar M Shetty and Bar Association chief secretary Ronald Praveen Kumar were also present at the event.
