Bengaluru: The traffic police in the city booked 1,062 school vehicles for violating norms and policies which are supposed to abide.
Cases were booked against vehicles who did not abide by the rules which they were supposed to follow. School buses which had no attendants for children, no proper insurance documents and valid permits, and vehicles who did not have transparent windowpanes were booked.
Commissioner raised concerns over parents choosing auto-rickshaws and vans to ferry children to school rather than choosing school bus as the school bus fares being comparitively expensive.
