Second FIR against Drone Prathap for quarantine violation

Bengaluru: A second FIR has been registered against N. M. Pratap popularly known as Drone boy for alleged violation of COVID quarantine norms.

The first FIR was registered against Prathap after he appeared for a program, aired on a Kannada channel and showed his Home Quarantine stamp on the live TV show.

He was booked by Mysuru police and was placed under institutional quarantine at a facility. However, even before the end of his quarantine, Prathap violated the norms by meeting his lawyer in the hotel room on July 30. The incident was caught on CCTV.

Following this, police have booked him under the National Disaster Management Act 51 b, and under IPC 188, 269.
