Shimoga: Relief for residents as forest dept catches leopard

In a big relief for villagers in Shimoga’s Kommanalu, forest department officials caught a female leopard that had been lurking in the area for the last few days.
The leopard that had been giving sleepless nights to residents was recently spotted near Bannikere village in Honnali Taluk. The forest department officials were notified and a combing operation was conducted to trap the leopard.
Finally, on Tuesday, the leopard was caught in the trap laid by the officials.
