Shirady: Lorry carrying cement catches fire

Uppinagady: A lorry carrying a heavy consignment of cement caught fire on Monday, August 17 near Badkinahalli.

As per sources, the lorry carrying a consignment of cement was travelling from Bengaluru to Mangaluru when one of its tyres burst and caught fire.

Following the accident, the lorry driver and the cleaner fled from the spot. Fire rescue personnel who arrived and put out the fire.

Nelyadi police have registered a case with this regard and investigation is underway.
