Shirva: Blaze at house damages property

Shirva: A fire broke out in the bathroom and kitchen of a house in Panjimaru Kodugudde under gram panchayat limits here on Tuesday evening.
The fire was noticed in the house of Leena Coutinho. The blaze started in the bathroom and spread to the kitchen. Both rooms were completely gutted in the fire. The other areas of the house suffered partial damage as the fire soon spread to the rest of the house.
Shirva G.P. former president K R Patkar and locals Jacintha, Violet Castelino, Manjunath, and others tried to douse the fire.
Later, the fire brigade personnel led by Udupi fire brigade officer Satish N managed to bring the fire under control.
Shirva police station ASI Vivek and staff reached the spot and are conducting an inspection.
